THE PANTO OF THE OPERA

• The Panto of the Opera will be performed at Teatru Salesjan in Sliema from Friday, October 30 to Sunday, November 1, 2026. • Performances take place across the Halloween weekend and are suitable for families with children aged 3 and over. • Presented by Hoi Polloi Malta, this family-friendly production combines pantomime, musical theatre, comedy, choreography, and Halloween-inspired stage magic in a story set in Valletta in 1886. • The show follows the Royal Opera House as it prepares for an ambitious new season, with rehearsals falling into chaos and a mysterious masked figure roaming the theatre after dark. Christine, the Theatre Manager Dame, and an eccentric company of performers must race to save opening night while uncovering the secret behind the mask. • The cast includes Marco A.

Calleja as The Dame, Matthew Grech Margueret as The Phantom, Leah Mifsud as Christine, Gabriel Magro Delia as Raoul, Katherine Brown as Madame Giry, and Joe Depasquale as the Viscomte de Chagny, alongside an 11-member singing and dancing ensemble. • Guests are encouraged to come in costume for the Halloween performances.
