Press Mute takes place on Friday 18 September 2026 at 20:00 at Teatru Salesjan in Sliema. Presented by Udjenza, the production is a fast-paced satirical play about truth, lies, media, technology and the chaos created when facts struggle to be heard. The story follows two exhausted journalists trying to expose a scandal, while a charismatic podcaster, a slick minister and an algorithm that knows people better than they know themselves all compete for attention. In a world where facts are pushed aside by feelings, influencer noise and digital distraction, Press Mute asks who we trust to tell us the truth and what happens when the news becomes noise. The production is written and directed by Herman Grech, creatively produced by Toni Attard, and supported by Arts Council Malta.
