About the Event
Taking place on Tuesdays and Fridays between May and July 2026 at 11:30, Mdina Resounds: Echoes of the Silent City invites audiences into an immersive performance set within St Paul’s Cathedral in Mdina. The story follows Giuseppe, once a quiet servant of the Church, now caught at the centre of resistance during a tense moment in Malta’s history.
As the audience moves through hidden cathedral spaces, including the Sacristy and Aula Capitulari, the performance unfolds around themes of faith, rebellion and resilience. The experience combines live storytelling, classical music and operatic tenor performance, with music direction by Jacob Portelli and a live performance by Jeremy Grech.
For those who want to go deeper, an optional 45-minute guided walk through Mdina is available before the performance, setting the historical scene before the story begins.
